My name is Ida Kenna, and I have spent over three decades working as a psychotherapist alongside people during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives. I do not take that trust lightly.

I believe healing happens when we are met with presence, honesty, and compassion. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about understanding what has shaped you and learning how to move forward with more awareness, strength, and self kindness.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey and earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from New Jersey City University. In addition to my clinical work, I am a certified supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselors and enjoy mentoring clinicians as they grow into their professional identities.

My work is informed by a holistic understanding of mental health. I am also a yoga teacher, and this has deeply shaped how I approach healing. I value the connection between mind, body, and nervous system, and I believe lasting change happens when we pay attention to the whole person, not just symptoms.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief. People heal in relationships where they feel safe enough to tell the truth. My role is to offer that space and walk alongside you as you do the work of understanding yourself more deeply.
